Definitely not smart.

One of the drawbacks of a 316" wheelbase is limited leveling. In a Prevost you need to choose your pad carefully. I don't miss the jacks at all. In fact I'm happy to be rid of all the hydraulics: the jacks, the slide actuators, and the engine fan. And, although unrelated, I'm super happy to be rid of the slide pressurized air seal and to have a generic d-bulb compression seal in it's place, automotive door style. Simplicity equals trouble free.

RE: Levelling jacks 101
My thoughts are that in the world of RV’s and bus coaches, the three things that seem to be the most annoying and seemingly the cause of so many issues are, slides, jacks and steps. I for one am happy that many, including mine have neither. Slides might be a consideration for us however with it just being the two of us and the fact that we don’t stay anywhere for a long time, no slide works too

RE: Levelling jacks 101
lol , ok you got me there . You see I have been gifted with short memory , but you guys have reminded me of the many issues I no longer have with the jacks, slides, steps hahaha So if a little pre site planning is needed I can live with that .

What I miss about the jacks is the ability to lift the coach high enough for a repair . I like leaving the coach low to the ground when we are dry camping and have no idea how one would get under there if for some reason access is needed .
