RUNFLATS--need a sample wheel
Hi.
I have researched a runflat system that not only holds the tire on the rim like a Tyron system, but almost maintains the rolling diameter in the event of a blowout. By preventing the drop to the rim, control should be significantly better especially for IFS. I can explain if requested. The attachment has the information. I will order the system but the company needs a Alcoa wheel to design the custom runflat. Then the system will be available for all 365’s Obviously, I do not want a spare wheel. Can anyone help find a wheel?? Short term loan or damaged? Alcoa # 803601 Rim 10.5 wide Please let me know. RE: RUNFLATS--need a sample wheel
Would someone please post the Alcoa wheel number that Prevost (or Newell) uses for the 365's. Does the XL and the H3 use the same wheel? 803601 ?

RE: RUNFLATS--need a sample wheel
The Hutchinson RF looks interesting. It and the roller RF look challenging to install.
I believe that part number is the same used on XL-II and possibly the H-3. Unless it takes a long time, maybe you can send them one of yours. That way you only have to pay to have one RF installed. Good Luck! Gil |

RE: RUNFLATS--need a sample wheel
Hi,
I have bought a new wheel from alcoa and the runflats are now available from Rodgard. These runflats are composite inserts on rollers that prevent the tire from collapsing to the rim if there is a tire failure. http://www.rodgard.com/ I paid $575 for the wheel. It is available $450 . No tire ever on it. Undamaged. Thanks, Ross |
