Fla to Ca

RE: Fla to Ca
I almost drove my wife to divorce, no kidding! She once lamented to my parents, "David is always asking 'what's that noise'"? "I can't hear 'that' noise for all the other noises"! "Everything on the bus rattles and makes noise"! Her words. LOL! And how true. It was the wall sconces, and the window screens, and the windows themselves, and the wall paneling, and the floor, and the slide... it truly was everything! Robert, I understand what you're saying about the M380. I drove one. Again, the M450 and the M380 were a huge step in the right direction if only the new owners had the pockets to withstand the Great Crash. This was the chassis of the future. The morphing of the truck-style ladder chassis to a welded tubular spaceframe. The M450 and the M380 still had vestiges of the ladder chassis, but it was a big step in the right direction. Prevost takes that concept further with the complete elimination of the ladder frame rails. Some talk about the Prevost chassis and say, "where's the steel", well it's no longer concentrated in the center, Wanderlodge style, it's distributed about the outer surface where it can add maximally to stiffness.

Dang Al, over 7K miles in just a few weeks. That's great! You surely have flushed out any issues by now. Any particular repairs happening in Goodlettsville, Tn?

My coach is still at DMRV. They're finished with the collision work but I'm having them do more. They're removing the 3M up front and respraying the bumpers and few more exterior details are being taken care of. Should be like new. I'm excited.

RE: Fla to Ca
Jerry , I must tell you this place was great . We went inside to buy a beer as a way to pay for our stay but they did not have any . So we asked the manager if it was ok to stay and he said no problem . Nice quiet place with a great view . I would do it again . Tonight we are in Arkansas Rest area outside Memphis , nice and quiet here also . That ends once we hit TN if I remember correctly Sad

David, I seem to be loosing some air over night on my brake tanks and also like going down town in Nashville so we figured why not let Prevost take a look under there . I figure with the money I saved by not gambling I can give some to Prevost Smile

RE: Fla to Ca
Al, the best money I spent was letting Prevost replace the Norgrens and any fitting they found leaking.

RE: Fla to Ca
Al,

Each year in the Spring, I have Prevost do a Level 4 service on my coach. While it is there I have them go beyond their normal inspection procedure and check the complete air system for leaks and condition. Seems the auxiliary air always has a small leak somewhere as evidenced by the pressure gage dropping over time as the coach sits. Sometimes they find a leaky Norgren valve, sometimes the leaks are from the fittings. Sometimes, they need to replace a valve. Although I have never had a completely leak free air system for any long length of time, this method of maintenance seems to keep my air system in an acceptable condition. I love my Marathon.

Ernie, I agree and plan to replace them also . I wont say take a day to find them but rather , hey lets just replace that old Norgren .

Chuck , What can I say you are the man Smile I on the other hand like being cheap , so I will tackle them one buy one . I like small fairly clean jobs . It is the under the coach stuff I will leave to Prevost .

RE: Fla to Ca
Chuck, I did not know there was a level 4 service. What does that entail?
