OK I am going to throw a fly in the ointment. What about Lithium? Relion batteries? The price is higher but you need to purchase far less to obtain the same amp hours. They will take bigger current draws and have double the charge cycles before permanent depletion. Seem to be well used in the marine sector? Thoughts Sparky? Oh also supposed to take less time to recharge and can be installed anywhere. Feedback I see online is more and more people are using Lithium with success. Technomadia for example. They don't use Relion but never the less it seems a plausible solution.
