Dual pane window broken seal - travelite - 06-29-2018 21:06

I have a broken seal allowing moisture to condense inside one of my dual pane windows. it's the sliding window above the dinette, not the piece that slides but the stationary half. anyone have experience with a Prevost replacement? Cost?

Thanks Hish,

I'll give them a call. I spoke with Prevost, the glass pane is available for $700 and they estimate 3 to 4 hours to replace it.

David,

On your way back east you may pass by this place in Arkansas. They should be able to reseal your window much cheaper than buying one from Prevost for $700.

Thanks everyone for your tips. Turns out the fixed window of the "exit" sliding pair is easily removed. When I return home I'll remove them and send them out for resealing.

wanted to ask if you ever used the Glass Doc , seems I have a foggy driver window .

Al, I've never used them. Suncoast is another option that Prevost owners have used, but don't let them take the glass out. Have Prevost, or a converter, remove the window then send it to one of these repair centers. Alternatively, for the driver window in an XL, some have replaced it with a solid non-insulated pane.

I do want to go the proper rout here for sure. I have never taken the easy way on a repair and I do not like grief that comes with dealing with those who take short cuts on repairs. This issue effects many coaches not just Prevost so there must be a qualified shop and if it is Prevost themselves then so be it . I also have a cracked window that needs replacement . I think it cracked by just letting go of the awning strap .

Well we now have a new clear window to see the mirror . Man did I struggle with the cloudy one . Always thinking I just needed to clean it . The window cost 250 and install was another 275 . I have the old one and plan to take it to my window guy and see if he can fix it for under 100. The curb side is not as bad and I don't need it to see the mirror but might just as well fix it while I 0 out the coach .
