My front 2 compressors are DOA. I called Trawick in Ft Worth and spoke to Kenneth on Monday. He said he would get back to me. I called him on Tuesday and he texted that he was working on some details about the problem I have. They worked on my Cruisairs last year. Today at 4 pm I received a call from Bob at Trawick. I told him my conversation with Kenneth and was waiting on a return call.
Bob said " He won't call you back" I said WHAT? He said that he is doing something else. Why didn't they say that in the first place. I'm done with them.
Marathon in Grand Prairie will get my business. They were eager for me to bring the coach in. FYI

Ernie, I spent a month at Marathon Grand Prairie while they and Prevost worked on my coach when I first bought it. During that time, I watched while they worked on several coaches with Cruisair problems. So, if that's any indication, they should know how to fix yours.
David, I have no idea how the post above posted in triplicate????

I took care of it Chuck. I don't know why it happened.

Ernie, I had Prevost (Nashville) service my CruisAire. They don't do it themselves but they had an outside service come in. I imagine all the Prevost service centers will do this.
thanks- I'll contact Jason at Ft Worth Prevost. I'm on a first name basis with those guys since they worked extensively on my coach
I just received a call from Chris Trawick. He found out about my thread, here and wanted to make things right. After he explained what is going on at his company, moving guys around, etc, he wants my business. So, looks like I will get my Cruisairs worked on by Trawick. They are a couple weeks out, which is fine with me as we just spent 2 weeks in Montana.
well, post script: they want $4300 per unit for remanufactured with a 1 year warranty. with a 21 year old coach, that is not going to happen. I will install a roof air and keep the balance for tires~
Ernie Wow
What a deal for a quite AC unit, just think you have 4 Cruisair in you coach.

Ernie,

Call AAP Inc (based in Milford, Va). See what their prices are. I recently bought an SMXII thermostat from them at a very competitive price. Maybe they can help with parts and support to make your CruisAir whole again. I would think any qualified HVAC technician could install parts and charge the system for you. What symptoms are you experiencing? I think cutting a hole in the roof would be very tough. You definitely want some stringers surrounding the hole for support and to offer something to bolt the roof air to, which would be very tough to accomplish with the exterior roof panel in place and all the interior finish work in place, plus you loose all the interior ducting.

Hish, silence is golden, in this case literally! Smile
David
This is the true cost of a Cruisair Remanufactured and not new unit. One can replace 4 roof airs for the cost a single Cruisair, of course the roof air are not as quit but they work in 110+ degree condition without spraying the condenser unit with water to stay cool.
